Bournemouth - Home of Electus and Europe's largest Air Show!

 3rd Sep 2014

We are lucky enough to work and live in an amazing place. We are blessed with a huge blue flag beach, the natural wonders of the new forest and of course, the Bournemouth Air Festival.

Bournemouth AirshowNow in its seventh year, we get to enjoy four days of brilliant Air displays and events. It’s great for us to see some planes flying that we have recruited engineers to design, build and maintain!

Some of our favorites on show were the Vulcan, Eurofighter Typhoon, Chinook and the amazing Red Arrows.

Apparently we had around 1.2million people visit the festival which creates c£30million for the local economy and provides an extra 500 Jobs!

We love being in Bournemouth!!

MIT team 3D-prints graphene sponges
Researchers at MIT have 3D-printed graphene structures that resemble sponge or coral, which are up to ten times stronger than steel but have much lower densities.   The team started by compressing small flakes of graphene using a combination of heat and pressure. This produced a strong, stable structure whose form resembles that of some […]
