Our client is a water supply and treatment utility company servicing a wide area across the North of England. Maintaining 62,000 miles of pipe and supplying 1.24 trillion litres of water every single day, our client only looks for the best to keep a network under constant pressure up and running.
We were approached to help with a permanent vacancy after their regular PSL agencies were unable to assist. The role was for a Chemical Process Principal Engineer, needing a Chartered Engineer certification, with very specific experience in large gauge, heavy engineering ageing assets, extensive knowledge of high hazard, pressure systems and COMAH and DSEAR regulated processes, plus the gravitas and confidence to deal with the Health and Safety Executive on a regular basis.
Electus undertook an extensive advertising campaign across a range of specialist engineering job boards, as well as an in-depth candidate search across our own internal database, external databases and social media. Our activity resulted in the submission of two very strong candidates for the role.
Our client was keen to fill this role quickly and undertook two rounds of interviews with one of our candidates within a few weeks of receiving the CV. They offered our candidate the role and he started his employment with them just eight weeks after we were initially given the vacancy.
We are currently in discussions with the client to become a full member of their PSL with access to all specialist engineering vacancies.
