You can make an immediate impact on current programmes of work. Your experience of systems design engineering will help you work in a fast paced development programme to deliver an air defence capability to the UK customer. As a system design engineer you'll have the chance to help design key areas of weapons systems including the design of threat evaluation and weapon assignment functionality, command and control (C2) training solution and C2 performance activities.

About the job:

Our client currently requires the services of a Systems Engineer to help design key areas of cutting edge weapons systems. The role will include;
Contribute to delivering the algorithm chain, training solution and performance related activities.
Requirements specification and design carrying out a full range of technical analysis and investigations, preparing specifications and developing designs.
Sub system performance analysis
Flow-down of sub system requirements to software requirement specifications.
Define and maintain a design justification record providing linkage from sub system requirements to software requirements.
Liaise with subsystem teams, to ensure design proposals take into account existing design constraints.
Develop solutions to emerging problems and technical challenges.
Work within a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) environment using the Rhapsody tool.
Support customer working groups as required
Participate in international algorithm workshops

About you:
As a Systems Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Proactive approach to all activities with a willingness to listen and learn
Willingness to grow network and liaise with a wide number of UK, Italian and Customer stakeholder, ranging from Graduates to Execs
Ability to analyse problems and provide robust solutions
Delivery of allocated requirement specifications on time, with the required quality
Utilisation of current network and experience to add value to the Task Group activities
Willingness to support additional Task Group activities as they materialise
An engineering degree or equivalent
A knowledge of the systems engineering process and have used requirement management tools
