After graduating with a 2.1 in communications from Bournemouth University, Andrew wanted to combine his desire to work with people and his strengths with problem solving into a career. However he also wanted something that was target driven and results orientated.
He joined a specialist aerospace and defence recruiter in the heart of Bournemouth, where he met future business partner Mark Day. During his career Andrew worked with some of the largest engineering and technical companies in the UK, such as Airbus, Thales and BAE Systems. His natural talent for recruitment saw him going from trainee to senior consultant within a couple of years.
In 2003, after a year of planning and raising funds, Electus Recruitment Solutions was born with the mission to create a fun, ethical recruitment company that offered client, candidate and Electus employees a positive and rewarding experience.
As a Director of Electus Andrew’s role has plenty of variety. He is responsible for the growth and strategic direction of the company as well as day to day involvement in the recruitment activities and performance of the teams. Andrew also heads up the sales and marketing function, responsible for the brand development and customer communication strategy.
Andrew loves nothing more than meeting with our clients, solving their resourcing issues and getting feedback so we can improve our customer offering.
Outside of work his interests include: good food and wine, travel, playing golf (badly), motor boats and socialising with friends and family.
