Our aim is to establish long term working relationships with professional technical contractors and consultants. Electus work with a growing number of key players in the technical marketplace and enjoy Preferred Supplier status with large Engineering Companies and hold framework agreements with organisations across the defence, aerospace and engineering sectors.

Working with Electus we provide a professional support structure to you that includes access to professional advice on contractor issues as well as a wide spectrum of opportunities. Electus is a financially stable operation, we run a weekly and monthly pay run and aim to settle correct invoices within 10 working days. Each contractor is assigned a named point of contact to handle day to day issues and can access Senior Management if a commercial decision is required.

Professional Advice

Electus Recruitment Solutions has turned to Lawspeed legal and commercial specialists to provide our contractors a unique Freelancer Advice Support service (FAST) to help with virtually every aspect of setting up and running your business.

The “FAST” Service is designed to help freelance contractors from start up onwards, by providing expert and objective advice, including guidance on operating outside IR35. It covers guidance on whether to set up your own company or operate through an umbrella, assists in putting together your work description through to full blown IR35 insurance and give you the support and peace of mind you need to operate as a freelance contractor.

Electus Recruitment Solutions and Lawspeed’s FAST Service will provide you with:

1. Immediate impartial start-up guidance
2. Rapid advice dealing with your queries on our contractual terms
3. FREE OF CHARGE• Legal and commercial support including company formation IR35 and recommended services

If you choose to work through a Limited Company, we will need your bank account details, a copy of your Certificate of Incorporation, a copy of your Certificate of Insurance and a proof of identity.

Umbrella Company

If you are a first time contractor or do not want the responsibility of running your own Limited company we would suggest an umbrella company. A umbrella company is a company in its own right and takes care of the administrative and tax issues. We are able to recommend reputable umbrella companies who can provide more information.

Once we have secured you a contract and decided whether you want to become a limited or Umbrella contractor, we will endeavour to issue you an "IR-35 friendly contract” that is easy to understand and that includes all the information that you require.
