Our client with a facility in the Stockport area is a leading Secure Satcom Systems (3S) manufacturer. The requirement is for a Support Manager (Secure Satcom Systems) to manage kit returns and repairs and to manage subcontractors ensuring that matters of quality and time are adhered too. Manage the SAP system as appropriate.

The Support Manager (Secure Satcom Systems) will be expected to -
Manage the Operations Support team and all Spares and Repairs activities
Ensure the group achieves its key objectives through effective leadership, development and implementation of improvement programmes
Lead and develop the 4th Line repairs business for 3S Operations
Be the primary point of contact for Business Development leading spares delivery, refurbishment programmes and warranty support
Identify and develop key strategic suppliers suitable for Sub-Contract Repair/Maintenance agreements to support the 3S business.

The successful Support Manager (Secure Satcom Systems) will have the following skills, experience and knowledge -
The ability to lead a multi functional team with integrity and professionalism, providing vision, direction, motivation and a common purpose for the business
The ability to plan, manage and control management activities within agreed departmental budgets whilst delivering long term sustainable benefits to the business
Self-starter with a positive attitude who is also strong-minded with motivational drive to overcome problems quickly and effectively
Constantly reviews planned activities against current requirements, adapting plans to support the business objectives, delivering efficient measurable returns
Excellent interpersonal skills
Able to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and introduce innovative change
Enthusiastic team player with influencing skills and the ability to communicate using all media types
Typically 5 - 7 Years experience of the Repairs/Maintenance environment
Engineering based degree or equivalent experience
