Job Details

Our client is one of the UK’s biggest providers of systems and engineering technology, with over 330 permanent employees at seven UK sites. They provide independent, impartial advice to their clients in the defence, nuclear, power & energy, civil aerospace, rail, marine, petrochemical and industrial sectors.

They have a requirement for an Electrical and Control Engineer, Electrical Design to join their team in Warrington or Glasgow.

The Electrical and Control Engineer, Electrical Design will possess a good Honours Degree (MEng preferred) or equivalent and have experience in one of the following sectors: Nuclear/Rail/Oil & Gas/Power/Chemical.

The successful Electrical and Control Engineer, Electrical Design will be able to demonstrate a high degree of aptitude and experience in at least two of the following areas ­
Electrical power system analysis
Electrical protection design
Control and Instrument system design
Software / Hardware system design
Rotating equipment (motors, generators) design
HV electrical distribution system design
Experience in using design software e.g. IPSA, Amtech
