We currently have an opportunity for an Aerodynamics Engineer, available in Bristol.
Working as part of the aerodynamics team you will be involved in the aerodynamic design, characterisation, and assessment of missile airframes. This will involve the use of semi-empirical, CFD and wind tunnel testing methods for aerodynamic simulation as well as a suite of performance analysis tools. These activities will cover free-flight and propulsion system installation aspects as well as the challenges posed by integrating missiles onto air, land and / or sea platforms.
The team you'll be joining have a broad range of niche and multi-disciplinary skills and are involved in a wide range of activities, providing opportunities for working on and influencing all of the company portfolio from the initial research and concept phase, through maturation and development, and into in-service support.
Qualifications / Experience
A doctorate, or high level honours degree (or equivalent) in an aerodynamic discipline or related subjects coupled with solid relevant working experience
Extensive experience of semi-empirical, CFD, and wind tunnel test techniques, ideally focussed on high-speed aerodynamics
A desire to get involved in innovative research and proven record of delivering results to time, cost and quality.
