Job Description

My client, a world leader in the defence sector, requires an Algorithm Design Engineer (Signal Processing) to join them in Bristol and work as part of a team on the development and modelling of new algorithms for secure radio communication systems.

Algorithm Design Engineer (Signal Processing)

You will work across a variety of projects, ranging from fundamental research into new algorithms and implementations through to product development for customer programmes. The successful applicant will be working on the development of novel solutions to challenging communications problems, making use of the latest technologies, sharing your expertise across numerous projects, helping to shape future research and collaboration with academia and other industry partners.

This is an opportunity to gain expertise in secure military communications technology, in particular signal processing techniques, with an employer who actively supports professional development and offers excellent training opportunities through formal and/or on-the-job training to deepen and widen your expertise.

To be considered for this role, applicants will need to be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific subject, with work experience covering Signal Processing/DSP and Matlab/Simulink. It is possible that your experience might be on RF or Audio projects, but our client is open to experience on other products or systems.

In addition, the following would be helpful (but these are not essential as our client will train candidates with development potential):

*Programming experience in a high-level language (ideally C/C++with experience of Xilinx HLS).
*Familiarity with DOORS and RTC.
