They are currently seeking a Change Manager to join their team. This role can be UK based in London or overseas in their office in Canada.

Our client is an industry leader in the mobile satellite communications market, offering an extensive range of global satcom solutions and services to keep people connected at all times, even when travelling by land, sea or air.

The Change Control & Management Manager ensures that all changes are managed in a controlled manner, including standard changes and emergency maintenance relating to business processes, applications and infrastructure. This includes change standards and procedures, impact assessments, prioritization and authorization, emergency changes, tracking, reporting, closure and documentation.

The Change Manager is responsible for applying governance to all change activities including:
Establishing the process for change management and ensuring that each change follows procedure to ensure minimum disruption to IT services.
Evaluation of all Requests for Change (RFCs) to determine the impact on business processes and IT services, assess risk to the operational environment etc.
Chairing the Change Advisory Board (CAB), and ensures the CAB has the information needed to evaluate changes.
Authorising acceptable changes, either alone or after a CAB has taken place.
Ensuring that changes are logged, prioritised, categorised, assessed, authorized, planned, scheduled and are introduced in a controlled and coordinated manner.
Liaising with all necessary parties to coordinate change building, testing and implementation to schedule.
Managing emergency changes to minimise further incidents and ensure change is controlled and secure.
Verifying that emergency changes are appropriately assessed and authorized after the change.
Maintaining a tracking and reporting system to document rejected changes, communicate the status of approved and in-process changes and completes changes.
Ensuring that approved changes are implemented as planned and have met objectives.

To be considered for this role, applicants will need to be qualified to College Diploma or University Degree level in the field of Computer Science, Systems Administration or similar.

You will have previous experience in a similar Change Management role, with ITIL 3 experience and/or practitioner certification in Change Management.

You will have:
Use of change management tools.
Knowledge of deployment and implementation methodologies (Agile etc.) of related technical change management experience.
Experience in project management and knowledge of approaches, tools, and phases of project lifecycle.
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Understanding of configuration management principles.
Familiarity with controls and audit compliance.
