As one of the UK's biggest providers of systems and engineering technology, our client works across a number of diverse markets, providing expertise to the government, defence, nuclear, power & energy, civil aerospace, rail, marine, petrochemical and industrial sectors.

The Civil Aviation Business Manager will lead the rapid growth of the Civil Aviation business in a successful and innovative engineering and technology consultancy company. They will contribute to the business strategy, and be responsible for all aspects of customer, collaborator and partner interactions, working with operators, maintainers, developers and partner organisations to deliver integrated consultancy solutions across new transport and infrastructure projects

As a Civil Aviation Business Manager, your main responsibilities will be/include:

*Contribute to the strategy of the business and develop the strategic (5 year) plan for the sector
*Responsible and accountable for developing and delivering the in-year sector plan, including leading the business development activities
*Characterise the key market drivers and influence the development of our services towards the needs of these markets
*Draw on your network to develop and maintain high performing collaborative relationships with delivery partners
*Identify, characterise, influence and capture opportunities to deliver order targets
*Work with our technical teams and delivery partners to develop compelling proposals to win work
*Support internal delivery and maintain excellent customer relations, quality, programmes, and profitability across a portfolio of projects
*Maintain overall responsibility for all aspects of customer, collaborator and partner interactions.

Successful candidates will have/be:

*A background in the Civil Aviation sector including either experience in, or demonstrable understanding of, a consultancy environment;
*Strong customer relationship management skills, an established set of contacts and a good reputation in the client community;
*An established track record of strategic thinking, business development, capture planning and delivery in a relevant environment;
*Excellent communication skills;
*Commercial awareness and the capability to provide guidance on bids and projects;
*Good leadership skills, with the ability to motivate individuals and teams across the business.
*Whilst the Aviation sector is the primary focus of the role, additional experience in other aspects of the UK transport market (particularly rail and/or roads) will be viewed favourably

Business Manager- Civil Aviation
Location- Multiple locations considered for the right candidate
Salary- £55-65k DOE+ competitive benefits

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's sites, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
