We are currently recruiting for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Commercial Manager with experience of working on MOD contracts on a pre and post contract basis.
As Commercial Manager your tasks and responsibilities will include:
To manage the commercial obligations of the prime contract and work with functional stakeholders to ensure contract deliverables are achieved
To support the development and execution of the supply chain strategy for the Prime contract to ensure alignment with, and achievement of, the prime contract deliverables
Execute supply chain strategies to deliver organic and new business opportunities including the negotiation and agreement of pre-contract arrangements as may be required
To support and maintain the commercial point of contact to Customer(s) and wider stakeholders to enable an open and transparent working relationship focused on resolving issues and maximising supply chain opportunities as they arise.
To support the delivery of Business Unit strategies through the rigorous management of contract and supplier performance
Negotiate and agree prime and supply chain terms & conditions in accordance with company policies and Delegation of Authority
Establish & implement successful relationship management techniques within the supply chain and customer environment
Qualifications / Experience
You will ideally be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Law, Accountancy. Functional qualifications may include Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS), International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) or Post Graduate Certificate in Commercial Management (PGCCM)
You will be experienced in contract and bid management, with experience in managing and developing staff
In-depth knowledge of commercial terms and agreements, significant awareness of UK MOD contracting methods, strategies and contracting methods, effective proven negotiator, significant leadership skills supported by high level of resilience,
Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
An in-depth knowledge of a variety of contracting methods which maximises and mitigates commercial risk and opportunity with both the Ministry of Defence and Commercial Companies.
Management of personnel and stakeholders to deliver a high level of Commercial competence
