About the Role
*To help develop a technical Communications and Networking capability to support a range of internal initiatives and external opportunities.
*Looking for experienced Communications and Network Engineers/Consultant with acquisition experience to join our expanding
*Design and operation of Communication Fixed or non-Fixed Network Equipment; or
*Physical integration of equipment onto either ships, land vehicles or aircraft; or
*Experience of maintaining Communications, Fixed or non-Fixed Network Equipment or providing in-service support to it; or
*Procurement/Acquisition of Communications Fixed or non-Fixed Network Equipment.
*A minimum of HND level / foundation degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline;
*Experience in project management;
*Knowledge of development communications protocols such as 5G;
*Knowledge and experience of application of communications in Autonomous Platforms;
*Knowledge of UK MoD procurement procedures;
*Knowledge of UK MoD ISS delivery organisations;
*Recent experience of managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams;
*Registered with a Professional Engineering Institution with either Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer status;
*Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
The following experience would be advantageous:
*An understanding of the challenges presented by the development of technology around computers, telecommunications and military command and control;
*An understanding of requirements and specification management, configuration and design change management or the organisation and conduct of trials;
*Experience or an appreciation of Business Development;
*Broad experience of systems engineering and/or other engineering domains.
