Job Description

Our client is an independent consulting company providing advisory services into the Energy, defence and government sectors where they support capital, engineering, operational and business transformation programmes and portfolios.

They are expanding the cyber security capability and as such are looking for professionals with the following experience:

Essential:

Experience of working within differing cyber technology contexts (e.g. understands processes of cyber defence and technical controls in military and non-military)

Experience of key elements of MOD's Cyber Security Operating Capability, perhaps system accreditation and or risk management and assessment;

Able to define and perform vulnerability assessments as part of a team;

Understand key skills and structure required for cyber protection, roles duties and responsibilities;

CISSP, CISM or CISA

Degree or equivalent in an IT or Computing related subject

SC / DV security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Experience in some or all:

-Cyber risk analysis;

-Technical vulnerability assessments;

-Cyber maturity Assessments;

-MOD information assurance policy;

-Red/Blue teaming including workshop facilitation;

-Cyber offensive and defensive toolsets;

-Identification of cyber impacts and threats;

-Response and containment of cyber threats;

-Cyber threat intelligence;

-Experience of report writing for military and government customers;


Highly Desirable:

-MSc in IT, Computing or Cyber;

-Some deep knowledge and/or experience of the MOD's / Transport/ Oil & Gas operating context relevant to the subjects that require cyber risk management and assessment;

-Experience of MOD processes and methods for CVI delivery as a lead or SME;

-Supply chain cyber risk experience;

-Certified Cyber Professional (CCP) in Risk and/or Architecture at senior level

-Ability to understand and work with enterprise architecture and business process documentation;

-Experience in identifying, articulating and building capabilities in risk management and risk assessment processes.

This role is permanent and will involve travel and periods away based on customer sites. The client has several hubs across the UK with the majority of work being around the Bristol/Cheltenham/Corsham and London areas.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criterion will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level
