They have world leading technology in Ground Penetrating Radar and RF interference mitigation. Both military and civil users rely on their direction-finding systems for search and rescue operations. They develop and manufacture high specification sector and multi-sector, directional, omni-directional, ultra-wideband (UWB) and MIMO antennas.
You will be working within a team of systems, software, electrical, and hardware design engineers, programme managers, and other supporting functions, to deliver project specific goals. This would typically cover the full development cycle from requirements capture, system level design, concept development, simulation, prototyping, build, through to verification and production handover.
Skills and Experience
*Relevant Cybersecurity engineering design experience in the aerospace industry, particularly in RF, GPS, anti-jamming, and antenna products.
*Advanced experience in developing system security requirements to a set of software subsystems described by architectural diagrams and interface descriptions.
*Use of a requirements management tool such as DOORS, to perform system requirements validation, decomposition with traceability or to manage the verification of the requirements through a full product lifecycle.
*Several years of relevant interaction and understanding of UK and US government cybersecurity practices, laws, and regulations.
*Fluency in ISMS policies and cyber intelligence government agencies including ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, NCSC, CVE, ENISA, NIST, FBI, CIA, NSA, DIA, and current changes in cybersecurity policies in both UK and US.
*Ability to design emerging product security risk assessments, heat maps, security technical controls, and threat assessments and internal/external IT networks.
*Ability to assess and report cybersecurity risks in systems/software engineering environments and products, such as Linux, IMX8, NVEm, AMU/ACP, LTE, IOM, SCM, VHF, RCDU, Sim card variations, DO-178, DO-326A/DO-356A Airworthiness Security process.
*Ability to design/engineer black, white, and gray hat cybersecurity threat scenarios applicable to the company's products. Fluency in Linux commands, OSI layers, malware, data breach, data science, web application attacks, information leakage, telemetry intelligence processes, phishing, botnets, and DDoS is required.
*Familiarity with the full spectrum of crypto security, Information Assurance, COMSEC planning, network security engineering and architectural knowledge.
*Former experience working in a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), preferably as a security intelligence analyst or security intelligence engineer.
*Former experience working in IT environments or Software Security Engineering environments.
*Breadth of understanding across avionic systems and software engineering languages, such as Embedded C, C++, Python, GUI, APT, API, SQL, 5G networks, debugging, programming, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, PKI, SSDLC, AES-256, scripting application technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, distributed processing, protective markings, networking, SIEM, API, cloud computing, enterprise services, and machine learning analysis.
Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Information Technology.
5-10 years of relevant experience.
Years spent in education are valid in absence of sufficient years of work experience.
Any of the following knowledge or experience is also desirable for this role:
*Development of aircraft products, particularly RF electronics technology, designed to meet airborne standards, certifications and regulations, such as ARINC, RTCA or EASA
*Communications systems, technology, protocols and standards, for example, 3GPP LTE
*Specific Systems Engineering methods, such as use case modelling, state diagrams or SysML
*Engineering management techniques such as scheduling, cost estimation or risk analysis
*System simulation and signal processing
*Use of RF test equipment
*Engineering project management
Remote based and some on-site work
6 months - 1st contract dated until April outside IR35, pending further review
