Job Description

Our client, the independent regulator for workplace Health and Safety is looking for a Data Workload Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be home based.

The Data and Workload Manager will be responsible for a small team (circa 5 FTE) ensuring the data they hold is controlled, assured and managed effectively. Critically the Data and Workload Manager, working with the Operations Manager, will be responsible for the effective workload management of their spot check activity, ensuring that capacity across the different teams and organisations is understood, and that work is appropriately prioritised, allocated and tracked. The team is also responsible for MI collation and reporting on inputs, outputs, performance and outcomes, for internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities
*Overall responsibility of their spot-check data management, MI and reporting and workload allocation and tracking
*Manage demand, workload and resources to meet service objectives
*Ensure that systems, processes and ways of working are effective and work with the project team to continually improve service provision
*Work with the project team to ensure that we are appropriately prioritising our activities, are targeting effectively, are proportionate, and that we are adapting to changes rapidly
*Work with senior leaders to ensure effective end-to-end service workload management and reporting, regardless of where in the organisation activities are undertaken

Essential skills and experience
*Solid data management and analytical skills
*Advanced skills in data management tools (primarily Excel, VBA)
*Experience in resource and workload management including capacity planning, work segmentation, prioritisation, and tracking
*Planning, co-ordination and organisational skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines
*Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, external partners and senior stakeholders
*Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take the lead when needed
