Job Description

The role of the Data Security & Governance Officer is to ensure implementation & compliance
With our client's policies and divisional procedures regarding Security, Records Archive
Management & Data Governance. This role is also responsible to ensure compliance with all
Security practices and procedures.

As part of your role you will be responsible for:

*Manage the Records & Archive Management Programme in accordance with policy and
*Manage Data Governance in accordance with policy and procedure. As well as acting as focal point to Group.
*Define communication and awareness by raising plans; implement and monitor progress
*Vetting of all employees, contractors and third-party entities in accordance with policy.
*Maintenance of database of security cleared people to ensure that all are cleared and re vetted to policy.
*Manage clearance transfers between companies of overseas personnel.
*Submission & receipt of applications for MoD International Visits Control Office
*Management of security-controlled data and documents including archives
*Control of movement Transport security plans if required.
*F680/F1686 application process in conjunction with Senior International Trade Officer.
*Action overseas business travel permits in conjunction with Export Controls.
*Day to day Supervision of the in-house security team (3rd party contractors)
*Coordination of outsourced RAM services.
*Monitoring of weekly site security checks e.g. fire alarm, incident logs and patrol requirements in line with contracted SLA's.
*Ensures annual budget forecasts and expenditure are reported to the Trade Compliance Manager.
*The role requires the supervising of the contract for third party contract security guards

You will have the following experience

*Previous experience with Data Governance and Records Archive Management
*Previous experience with Security Controls such as carrying out vetting procedures to BPSS.
*BTEC Level 2 Security Qualifications (desirable)
*Legal and regulatory framework applicable to Records & Archives Management
*Proactive approach with focus on continuous improvement 6S
*Excellent customer service, teaching and mentoring skills.
*Ability to scrutinise personal information.
*Ability to problem solve, making rational decisions and offer informed recommendations and solutions.
*Electronic document management experience
