Your experience as an Electronics Engineer to join their team who are leader within defence systems. They are working on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects. They are based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas. The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, as a result we are recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and driven people.
As part of the Launch Control System team, this role will be a mixture of electronic design and some software design. Working within the Launch Control Systems team and reporting to the electronics team leader, you will design, develop and evaluate electronic systems and software. This would include involvement in the development of new products as well as supporting existing equipment The ideal candidate would be experienced in the full lifecycle of a project from requirements capture, system definition, through design, implementation, testing and commissioning.
Key Skills & Experience
-HNC I Degree qualified in Electrical I Electronic Engineering, Computing or related qualifications and experience.
-Relevant industrial experience of control systems engineering within a real time environment.
-Experience of development using a formal design process within an IS09001 environment utilising controlled configuration, reviews and technical documentation.
-Knowledge and practical development experience including fault finding experience, of at least one PLC or embedded processor system; an ability to transfer learned knowledge across products.
-Experience of "hands on" commissioning of electronic systems, with the ability to fault diagnose and perform corrective actions safely.
-An understanding of the principles of design for EMC requirements.
-A working knowledge of designing for CE requirements.
-An understanding of Requirements Management.
-Experience with development using PLC systems and IEC61131 programming.
-Designing with safety critical systems.
-Experience of using CAD systems for schematic entry and 2DI3D design.
-Motor control systems design.
-Design for military or aerospace products.
