Job Description
About the role:
*Understand and analyse the data architecture across the enterprise, ensuring that data is appropriately managed and effectively utilised.
*Take ownership of the data architecture across the business, and to develop strategies for how data should be managed, shared and utilised for optimal business use.
*Analyse database implementation methods to make sure they are in line with company policies and any external regulations that may apply.
*Create data monitoring models for each business unit as required.
*Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teams.
*Help maintain the integrity and security of the company data.
*Establish, gain approval for, and maintain the enterprise data flows and architecture.
*Undertake proactive business process analysis to identify and promote solutions where business efficiency can be improved, including business unit adoption of common processes and common toolsets.
*Establish and gain approval for an applications architecture.
*Ensure Data Architecture is fulfilled as detailed in the designed architecture during project work as determined in any delivery plan.
*Design, gain approval for and implement the process for maintaining the data architecture.
You will have the following experience:
*Direct experience in a data analysis or data management role
*Involvement in business transformation activities
*Experience in designing/modelling current and target data architecture for Enterprise solutions such as ERP, PLM/PDM, CRM, Document Management, Supplier Management, BI, Middleware, Forecasting, Product Design, Data Warehousing, Collaborative Working Environments
*Proven ability to work in distributed systems
*TOGAF or similar industry recognised Architecture certification
*Architecture design (Business modelling and Process Design, Systems Integration, IT standards, System Behaviours etc.)
*Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks
*Established Business Analysis skills to identify business need and determine solutions
*Ability to be able to deliver training material, process briefings, requirements capture, etc. to small and large audiences.
*Understanding of project management principles and processes.
Desirable skills:
*Good all-round knowledge of business structures and processes. How businesses work and how they use toolsets to promote efficiency
*Broad IT Knowledge (IS strategy, infrastructure, architecture, security and service management)
*Design to implementation methodologies, preferably gained through practical experience.

£60-75k + up to 10% bonus
