Your experience working in Fabrication and Welding Manufacturing Engineering and knowledge complex manufacturing processes will play a crucial part in creating detailed manufacturing processes for fabrications up to, and in some instances well above, 15 tonnes of complex construction and high integrity. As a Fabrication and Welding Manufacturing Engineer, you will support on a variety of defence projects.

About the Job:

Our client requires a Fabrication and Welding Manufacturing Engineer to create technical step by step routing for manufacture and look at materials requisitioning / estimates. You will be required to do the following:

*Creation of detailed manufacturing processes for fabrications up to, and in some instances well above, 15 tonnes of complex construction and high integrity.
*Producing Fabrication and welding estimates using 3D models and 2D drawings.
*Preparation of material cutting lists
*Producing stage build / and weld map drawings.
*Creating material requisitions and sub-contract requisitions.
*Interface with Production Shops, suppliers and customers.
*Responsibility for tooling and fixture requirements.
*Design for Manufacture.
About You:
To be the right fit for this Manufacturing Engineer job, you will strong manufacturing knowledge (Fabrication and Welding processes and possibly machining) and proven experience of working with large, complex high integrity structures. Candidates will need to take detailed design drawings, creating manufacture drawings, creating manufacture routings, shop orders, requisitioning materials, estimating, design for manufacture, customer liaison (internal and external stakeholders). Experience in working in an office environment and CAD knowledge will be an added advantage.
