Job Description
The Interim Head of Change & Business Improvement will play a key role in defining, building and implementing the company's ambitious roadmap of business transformation, focusing on operational and regulatory effectiveness and efficiency whilst improving the user experience.
This role is responsible for leading a team of Change managers and analysts, developing and driving capability and performance across their Change delivery function and leading the successful delivery of large-scale Change projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
*Day to day management of Change and Business Improvement activity and deliverables across all priority programmes and projects.
*Work with operational leaders to deliver new services/service improvements that enable the delivery of coherent, consistent and compelling experiences for customers and employees
*Manage, develop and empower team members to achieve objectives within complex multi-faceted projects in line with the company's Change Framework.
*Support the development and communication of change and business improvement principles, methodology and best practice throughout the business to build knowledge and optimise service delivery
*Ensure that processes and systems are designed to meet the needs of users, deliver against regulatory requirements, support efficiencies and deliver against strategic objectives
*Lead and ensure consistency on baselining and understanding the current state of services and functions, defining the `to be` state including TOM, organisation design, business processes, information flows, productivity, technology and metrics
Skills and Experience
*A proven track record of delivery Change and Business Improvement activity in complex environments
*Extensive experience of managing multi-functional teams and providing visible leadership
*Experience of leading, motivating and driving teams to achieve success and ambitious targets.
*Strong evidence of influencing and negotiating in order to deliver positive outcomes in a range of political or challenging stakeholder relationships at a senior level
*Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, delegate and manage workload across a remote team.
*Experience of implementing consistent methodologies, approaches and standards within a Change Management environment. Have a solid understanding of various change management, business improvement and project methodologies (e.g. LEAN Six-Sigma, Agile).
*Experience of implementing performance standards and measurement frameworks within Change environment. Have a solid track record of delivering performance improvements and efficiencies.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas via strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation.
*Experience in balancing exceptional delivery for users, with the needs of operations and the business.
*Analytical thinking and critical evaluation, with experience in applying practical business analytics in a complex, multi-channel, multi-disciplined environment.
*A solid understanding of the principles of operational excellence and how to ensure new ways of working are successfully implemented and embedded.
Desirable Skills and Experience
An understanding of Agile and Government Digital Standards
LEAN Six-Sigma Green/Black Belt accreditation
Experience of procurement, commercial and contract management arrangements
