About the job

The client requires the services of an Improvement Project Engineer on a permanent basis. This job includes:

*Lead all variation of improvement projects on site to an agreed cost, quality and within the allocated time. Ensure compliance with all statutory legislation, business policies, regulations & standards throughout the site.
*Manage resource to achieve improvements and to ensure the disciplined and effective control of the allocated budget.
*Drive and promote reduction of energy in line with site target KPI's.
*Advise & liaise with senior management to develop required solutions, capital/revenue plans and site improvements.
*Drafting of permits, safe systems of work, standard operating practices and risk assessments.
*Provide soundly based, innovative, least cost solutions to achieve operational improvements and financial benefits.
*Validate engineering proposals, estimated costs, programmes and strategies for submission to works business management for implementation.
*Identify and resolve gaps in engineering processes and related systems
*Be responsible for promoting and supporting the company's vision to drive continuous improvement, and to relentlessly pursue customer and employee safety, satisfaction and efficiency.
*Provide support to other business objectives and initiatives as required.
To be Suitable for this role you will:
*Be able to draft detailed and technical documentation related to Facilities systems
*You will have completed a recognised 4 year indentured apprenticeship, including a minimum of relevant ONC and HNC academic qualifications.
*Technicians experience post apprenticeship
*You will have experience in developing improvement plans and managing resource to deliver to agreed cost, quality and time
