My client is a High-End Engineering Consultancy that specialises in the Energy, Government and Defence sectors. They are currently looking to recruit an "IA/ Information Security Consultant" to take a key role within the organisation and work alongside the Senior Consultants to continue developing and delivering upon the business portfolio and being a key consultant within the Information Resilience / Cyber Security work across the Energy, HMG and Defence sectors.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how they would successfully implement a robust
security and information governance system for the management of controls to protect personal data.
Furthermore, you will show an understanding of security standards to ensure that data is adequately
protected and demonstrating confidentiality and integrity in the way it is handled. You will be able to
assess business information risk and provide appropriate advice in areas such as technical security controls, incident management and operational security.
This new role will suit qualified professionals who are looking for the next step in their career - the role relates to providing consultancy and we are looking for knowledgeable and conscientious individuals who are looking for a challenging role delivering real benefits to clients. You will work on assignments which vary in nature and size, and will be expected to contribute to managing project delivery and winning new business.
You will work alongside senior consultants who will provide you with specialised training (and qualification/ certification support) in the areas of Information Assurance & Audit, GDPR, Cyber Security, ICS / SCADA Control Systems, Risk Management and an understanding of the CNI Cyber Security Strategy and landscape.

You will be required to be flexible, working in a variety of locations as required i.e. offices, home or at our client sites.

Skills and Experience
Understanding and experience of:
*GDPR Implementing and assessing
*HMG / NCSC / UK MoD security accreditation processes
*Principles of best practice under ISO27001:2013, 27005, 22301, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus
*Cross-government security accreditation
*Technical risk assessment
*Technical security control development and implementation
*Must have one or more of these CISSP / CCP / CISM / CRISC etc…or advance diploma)/ISO27001
*Broad knowledge and understanding of, IP Networking, Communications, Data links (ICS would be
*Experience of customer consultancy services such as advisory, requirements capture
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
*Flexible approach to working locations and tasks to meet customer needs
*Degree in Computing, Science / Engineering / Maths / Physics
*Experience of Cyber Security attack graphs and attack path modelling and analysis would be a bonus
