As part of your role you will be responsible for:
~Providing guidance to the model development team on issues around process, implementation.
~Work closely with the software tool lead to ensure the development of the model and the software tool are consistent and compatible with requirements.
~Translating designs and architecture ideas into testable (library object) models.
~Collecting, processing and managing data (quality) to support complex models.
~Supporting and leading others with developing test scenarios and procedures to explore different candidate architectures and design ideas.
~Producing analysis "insights" to inform the development team.
Through understanding, recommend changes, modifications and propose new ideas on both system design and model development and implementation.
~Support the development of a proprietary software tool by contributing knowledge and experience of how a user would need to interact with a tool to build effective results.
You will have the following experience
~Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (Software, systems, physical science, mathematics)
~Previous demonstrated ability to perform specific research leading to the specification and design of models.
~Experience of developing in MATLAB / Simulink environment is essential
~Proven understanding of configuration and change management is desired.
~Experience of structured databases (e.g. SQL) is advantageous.
~Previous experience in the energy sector, or related fields is advantageous.
~Previous experience of development using agile (sprint) methodologies is advantageous.
~Conceptualising new ideas, thinking differently and encouraging a creative culture
~Persuasive and approachable you are able to successfully manage relations with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
