Global Leading defence engineering organisation are looking to hire an experienced and qualified Lead Project Safety Engineer to join their prestigious, high-profile fast growing team based in Wales.
The successful candidate must have experience and understanding of providing technical leadership and have previous success of delivery on various defence safety programmes as well as experience with System Safety Techniques such as Modular Safety Case and experience of software and functional safety.
Responsibilities will include:
*Experience with specific safety and environmental programme including working alongside system engineers involved in Agile developments.
*Identify Safety Integrity Levels (SILs) and be able to show they are met.
*Ability to conduct HAZOPS and system preliminary/system hazard analyse
*Ability to run the transition of the system safety case
*Plan supplier safety requirements and work with suppliers on delivery of safety case reports
*Work alongside client project safety engineers and safety assurance team.
*Experience with environmental techniques and methods,
*Experience with current and future safety and environmental legislation
*Advise on the safe installation of equipment on land mobile platforms.
Knowledge, Experience and qualifications required:
*Must have competence in Safety Engineering for large scale system of systems.
*System and product safety case plans and reports
*Fault Tree and Event Tree Analysis
*Modular Safety Cases and Goal Structuring Notation (GSN)
*Def Stan 00-55; 00-56; IEC 61508; JSP 454; DO-254; DO-178B and C;
*Safety Integrity Levels (SILs)
*Legislative compliance and knowledge of current/future safety and environmental legislation
*A demonstrable ability to build effective relationships.
*Current security clearance.
