Their R&D team (which includes engineers working on state-of-the-art 3D vision perception systems) is growing, so they are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to help them to implement existing research approaches and develop novel solutions to challenging subsea vision problems.
The Machine Learning Engineer role will range from the development of backend systems to process large amounts of video survey data into reports to online systems performing object detection live on embedded subsea systems. You will work closely with hydrographic surveyors and the operations team to understand requirements and will participate in software field trial on robotic platforms.
This role offers the opportunity to show a high degree of autonomy on the research and development of solutions, leading to quick implementation and the timely distribution of solutions to clients

Your experience will include:
*Deep learning, specifically CNNs
*Classical ML techniques (Sometimes SVMs and Feature Engineering get the job done better than Black Box use).
*Experience with one or more major frameworks e.g. Tensorflow, Caffe (1/2), PyTorch etc.
*Developing on Linux, OpenCV, C++.
*Writing and testing production code.
*Developing complex software from scratch or leading/architecting unique development.
*An interest in applied robotics and AI.
In addition, the following would be beneficial:
*CUDA programming experience.
*Robotics or embedded systems experience.
*Web development experience, e.g. deep learning-based data processing backend systems.
*Public work you can reference (papers, Github, shipped software etc.)
