Are you a time served engineer with proven experience of detailed inspection within a machine shop, assembly and fabrication environment?
This job would be traditionally deemed a Shop Floor Inspector. The successful candidate will be expected to check full dimensions on all manufactured components in accordance to drawing requirements. You will evaluate and provide contract inspection services utilising a portable gage or other metrology equipment. In this position, based in Bristol, you will be given training, the ability to develop your skills and clearly defined career development pathways.

About the Job:
This is an extremely varied role, and would suit a candidate who has completed an apprenticeship and moved into an inspection role, perhaps from a Machinist position. Unlike their competitors, our client will inspect an innumerable amount of components; as an organisation they see products from cradle to grave - design, manufacture, and test.
You will be a time served Engineer with proven experience of detailed inspection within a machine shop
You will be somebody who has a variety of experience and used to inspecting very diverse components on a regular basis
Excellent communication skills and an appreciation of a strong safety culture.
HNC/HND Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven experience of operating in a shop floor environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude including algebra and geometry skills.
Ability to successfully negotiate and develop relationships.
Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Hold a valid driver's licence.
Be able to work independently as well as with a team.
Be willing to work around industrial, mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as use hand tools and power tools.
Be willing to work indoors and outdoors.
Be willing to work occasionally on elevated platforms, scaffolding, or climbing ladders.
Be compliant to health and safety requirements appropriate to the role i.e. wear safety equipment when necessary.
Be willing to travel and work in several different geographic locations dependant on business needs and where the role is required.

Location:Bristol, South West
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
