I am looking for a Network Operations Controller that will have the opportunity to work across a diverse set of networks and telecommunications technologies, being responsible for ensuring that all network incidents within the aircrafts are dispatched to the appropriate support teams in a timely manner so the aircrafts can be returned to service within schedule

The Network Operations Controller will be responsible of ensuring that any incidents with ground, satellite and airborne equipment are distributed to the correct technical teams in a timely fashion. This job includes:
*Real time Network Monitoring
*Recording network incidents from events, emails and phone calls
*Daily network housekeeping tasks.
*Daily/ Weekly/monthly checks allocating incidents to specialist support groups when needed
*Provide ownership of incidents, monitoring and tracking progress towards closure
*Communication of incidents and progress to the relevant key stake holders
To be a good fit for the Network Operations Controller (Aerospace)role, you will need show proven experience/knowledge of Incident Management, ITIL, ITSM. Also, experience in working in an operational environment. This role will require understanding of Digital Communications Networks: protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, routing, etc.) and architecture (routers, switches, firewall, etc.). You will be expected to contribute to create efficient operational and technical processes/procedures.
Background/skills in the following for this role will be desirable:
*Knowledge of ticketing systems (Remedy, ServiceNow)
*Satellite communications / telecommunications /IP Networks working technical experience
*Understanding of Digital Communications Networks: protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, routing, etc.) and architecture (routers, switches, firewall, etc.)
*Experience on monitoring tools (HP NNM, Netcool, Solarwinds)
*Basic understanding of networking technologies (routing, switching and firewall)
