Your experience of Quality Inspection and knowledge of working in Lean manufacturing environments, will play a crucial part in supporting a growing business currently transforming their production capability by ensuring all stages of the engineering-based production process meet internal and external quality requirements.

You will be working for a leading international supplier of technology and services for remanufacturing and cleaning Diesel Particulate Filters. The Slough facility fulfils all UK and European operations and provides a full reconditioning, new product development and testing service for clients. About the job:

The client requires an Operations Quality Inspector to makes sure all stages of the engineering-based production process meet internal and external quality requirements. This involves checking incoming materials, products and documentations; in-process production methods; finished products and packaging, monitoring and recording quality results. This job includes:
*Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
*Carry out physical checks on incoming, finished and outgoing goods.
*Monitor in-process production, carrying out visual and measurement based checks and tests.
*Return sub-quality products for re-work; monitoring and confirming successful re-work.
*Check for compliance with standard operating procedures at all stages of production.
*Continuously review standard operating procedures and updating documentation as necessary.
*Liaise between Production, Maintenance, Development and Stores to maximise the time all equipment and processes are operational.
*Complete all quality documentation.
*Communicate non-compliance and opportunities for improvement to the production team.
*Approve finished products by confirming all quality standards have been met.
*Conduct regular checks and audits on finished goods, packaging and documentation.
*Ensure product type and all paperwork are correct, including inspection, customer specification and delivery information.
*Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

About You:

To be suitable for the Operations Quality Inspector job, you will have Quality control / inspection experience and strong knowledge ISO9001 in Engineering manufacturing environments. You will ideally will have been working within a Lean manufacturing environments (ideally in automotive or other regulated engineering industries). You will also need experience of inspecting machined parts, using general inspection equipment, and working to and updating standard operating procedures.
