Job Description

Our client based in Liverpool is looking for a Pay and Reward Lead to join their team on a contract basis. This role ill initially be remote but will move to their office when feasible.

They are in a time of expansion and growth which presents them with unique challenges including ensuring they have the capability and HR structures required to create the new Building Safety Regulator.

They are directing some of existing people towards a project to reform our pay structures and systems and to this end they are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead the business as usual pay function, initially for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities
*Developing and leading implementation of this year's annual pay award, taking part in annual pay negotiations with Trade Unions and communicating appropriately to staff.
*Responding to complex pay and pension queries
*Responding to terms and conditions related queries, maintaining associated polices and guidance. Adjusting policies to respond to business need.
*Manage loans, secondments and TUPE transfers as required.
*Undertake pay benchmarking and develop recommendations for suitable reward structures for newly created roles
*Management of existing team of 3 staff to deliver the above
*The management of our third party payroll provider and its associated services. Managing pension arrangements through MYCSP.

Leading the successful and timely delivery of major pay activities including,
*Gener Pay Gap reporting
*Equal Pay Review
*Provision of expert advice on complex pay policy issues.

Skills include
*Have experience of building, developing and leading a small team of HR professionals in the area of pay and reward.
*Be a strong communicator, having the ability to build credible, trust-based professional partnerships
*Be experienced in managing payroll issues and explaining complex pay related information to non HR professionals.
*Be highly numerate with the ability to analyse and interpret large and complex sets of information, providing recommendations to senior colleagues.
*Preferably, experienced in policy development, interpretation and application.
