Job Description

Are you looking for a new role in HR to lead a small team responsible for pay policies and reward strategies for a sponsored public body?

The company offers an opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and HR colleagues to evaluate pay policies and procedures, develop innovative solutions to pay challenges and present these at senior management meetings. It is a great way to further enhance your leadership skills by taking control of your own projects and having the freedom to implement your fresh ideas.
The role will involve developing and designing appropriate pay and reward strategies which support, recognise and reward the successful achievement of business goals, as well as managing a small team of HR professionals. The successful applicant will work with HR colleagues, trade unions and senior leadership teams to ensure proposals support the company's strategy and workforce plan. Additionally, you will be engaging across the business to reflect the business priorities in the development of the proposal and deliver pay specific activities and input to relevant HR projects involving Gender Pay Gap reporting, Equal Pay review and supporting senior management in the administration of SCS pay policy and reward.

Key Skills
*Preferably hold a CIPD qualification or be a member of CIPD. If this is not held, then the candidate must be willing to study for it
*Sound knowledge of pay strategies within a complex organisation
*Experience of developing innovative reward solutions
*Skills in building, developing and leading a small team of HR professionals
*Experience of influencing, consulting and negotiating at an operational and strategic level
*Ability to build and maintain credible, trust-based partnerships with a range of stakeholders, including trade unions
*Successfully deliver multiple projects at pace, and often in an environment of ambiguity and conflicting opinions
*Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large and complex sets of information
*Experience in policy development, interpretation and application
