About the job:
Our client currently requires a Product Assurance Engineering Manager - Software to join the UK national Quality Technical team to ensure the required level of Quality Technical support to the Technical Directorate programmes. This role will include the holder also taking on the responsibilities of being the Product Assurance Manager for the Seekers department. The job will include;
*Managing the UK national SW Quality Assurance team to ensure the required level of Quality support to the Product Assurance programmes
*Managing the national workload to ensure that this required level of support is adequately funded
*Working with the Head of Product Assurance SW Engineering, to ensure that the team has the skills and capabilities needed to provide QA to the Technical Directorate
*Flowing down Group Level information from the Group Head of Product Assurance to the UK team
*Consolidate functional and project risks and issues from the national Product Assurance Engineering team and feedback to Group Head Product Assurance Engineering and Quality Programmes
*Being actively involved in ISO9000 assessments and in internal quality audit activities
*Participate in Technical Expert (TEx) activities and promote collaboration between the TEx and national UK Product Assurance Engineering teams
*Working with the Head of Product Assurance SW Engineering to provide support to the Technical Function Quality Nominee as appropriate
*Providing an effective interface with Customer Quality Assurance Representatives when specific technical knowledge is required
*Where nominated, by the Head of Product Assurance SW Engineering, act as Lead Product Assurance Engineering Manager to consolidate the Quality aspects of multi-national projects in consultation with Product Assurance Engineering Software mangers from France & Italy
To be suitable for this Product Assurance Engineering Manager - Software job, you will be experienced Quality Assurance / Engineering professional with a good understanding of systems and software development practices. You will experience of managing a skilled and integrated team and have an engineering degree or equivalent.
