Job Description
You will be responsible for the OE and will need to ensure that best practice has been considered in partnership with Aftermarket and other locations to develop standard approaches that can be adopted by the business. This will involve creating Master Production Schedule (MPS) plans, establishing gaps in capacity, helping drive gap closure and then ensuring these 'roll up' into the S&OP process. Once requirements have been identified and implemented the role holder will focus on embedding these processes and monitoring and managing performance.
As part of your role you will be responsible for:
Line management of the OE MPS planners, ensuring consistency in approach and ability to collate site wide data at the lower level of detailed demand.
Responsible for the projected inventory, currently budgeted circa 10m in OE
Planning horizon - up to 12 months focus, net planning 12 - 24 months
Support escalated recovery plans and overall cohesion of the plan
Responsible for elaboration MPS plan over the S&OP horizon (24 months), understanding key drivers, gaps and
ensure these are captured efficiently through the S&OP process.
Partner with demand manager to understand how short and long-term changes affect, Workload, stock availability and inventory.
Co-ordinate short - medium term capacity planning (0 - 12-month horizon) across all OE modules. Ensure customer service level and stock availability are optimised
Line management of MPS planners - ensuring consistency of approach and management of key functional metrics.
Responsible for OE's projected inventory and actions to meet or beat budgeted inventory targets.
Manage SAP master data for all manufacturing data through the planning team (planning parameters).
Review make and drive improvement activities to enhance SAP usage and reporting. Ensure production orders are
released on schedule and manage the manufacturing team to ensure timely closure of orders.
Manage the implementation for Engineering change requests
You will have the following experience
Proven experience of achieving targets in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Proven management experience with MRP (SAP desirable but not essential).
Proven management of workload capacity balance
Excellent knowledge of Inventory Optimisation including stocking policies, master data management, SLOB,
Material replenishment strategies.
CPIM desirable but not essential
Energetic, results oriented, driven individual
Able to see the overall business goals as well as individual module needs
