Our global client provides products and support across the full spectrum of combat vehicles and they want you to join their team on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will possess a strong project management background within a supply chain/operations environment with a particular focus on process improvement and delivery. You will be competent and confident working with MRP guidelines, processes and procedures.
Please note, you must hold SC clearance for this position.
Purpose of the position
*Works closely with the wider business and supply chain team to deliver key initiatives and or projects that deliver a step change in performance for e.g. "operational efficiency", "value improvement", "delivery improvement".
*Works closely with the Senior Supply Chain and program teams to identify, capture and analyse data that highlights potential continuous improvement initiative/projects that support the strategic direction and vision of the Supply Chain and wider business.
*Continuously reviews and challenges the "status quo", offering insight in improving systems and processes associated with the delivery of key materials throughout the Supply Chain and in complete alignment with the end customer requirements.
*Has the ability to assess and prioritize all key stakeholder requirements and is able to ensure the best outcome for the project and the business in all instances whilst minimizing any potential material or delivery risk to the customer.
*Be viewed positively as a pro-active, effective business partner that supports the wider business operations and key initiatives.
*Work closely with the programme leads and supply chain to identify, capture and analyse data that delivers ongoing improvement.
*Identify and provide management and functional information that helps close performance gaps against key project/contract milestones.
*Proactive management of supplier/subcontractor milestone adherence, providing robust planning with appropriate actions for any resolution management.
*Proactively sets and measures KPI performance aligned to agreed service levels and associated business milestones.
*Experience in a complex project/programme environment
*Working knowledge of contract law
*Proven experience within a programme/project management environment
*Embodies the ethics of procurement and is an exemplar of best practice
*Excellent communication, influencing and networking skills

Duration: 6 months
SC Clearance is essential for this position
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
