Your experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in regulated engineering / manufacturing environments, will help you to monitor, maintaining and document the quality of: Materials, manufacturing Processes, & installations and ensure that client, third party inspection authority and in-house procedures & specifications are adhered to.

About the job:

The client requires a QA / QC Technician to monitor, maintaining and document the quality of: Materials, manufacturing Processes, & installations. You will work in conjunction with others within QA department and workshop and Project & Repair Managers as well as liaise with third party inspection authorities. This job includes:

*Carry out internal audits & liaise with all internal departments as and when necessary.
*Carry out random & planned inspections of materials, manufacture/installation processes in accordance with company and or client, third party procedures and specifications.
*Collate and submit QA documentation for quality Dossiers.
*Instigate and arrange third party NDT/DT.
*Verification of materials and accompanying certification.
*Scanning of material certification for traceability purposes.
*Control of tube stock & documentation of received & issued tube.
*Overseeing welder qualification & weld procedure tests.
*Producing welder performance qualification certificates.
*Completing contract weld maps and NDT request forms.
*Carrying out internal audits.
*Advising on materials and weld consumables.
*Calibration of pressure gauges and production of certificates as and when required.
*Maintaining calibration on master QA instruments.
*Maintaining ASME quality manual and including addenda as and when received.
*Witnessing DPI, UT thickness gauging and pressure testing as and when required.
*Accompany third party inspectors at workshop or on site with regards to QC activities.
*To identify system weaknesses and suggest new/efficient procedures to strengthen it.
*Adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental Policy;

About You:

To be suitable for the QA/QC Technician job, you will need strong organizational skills and relevant qualifications and an engineering background. You will need to have been involved in audit activity and poses good communication skills as the role requires regular interaction with third party inspection personnel. Knowledge of materials, welding processes and consumables used for a multitude of materials, and an ability to manage teams would also be useful.
