About the job:
Our client currently requires the services of a Quality Engineer to be responsible for all core quality activities within the Operations Directorate Engineering domain helping the teams to deliver compliant products through the application of quality processes and techniques. The job will include;
*Planning, agreeing and implementing quality activities & measures in response to each project scenario.
*Identifying, communicating and mitigating risks and issues associated to product quality.
*Coaching the Design Authorities to ensure equipment product lifecycle gates are planned, inputs prepared and conducted, outcomes and actions are progressed.
*Deployment and management of the non-conformance management system.
*Participate in engineering process development and review in line with quality expectations. Manage associated assessments and audits.
*Plan and deploy quality focused training to develop quality competencies within the engineering teams.
*Prepare & publish quality centric metrics (quality dashboard) to various stakeholders.
*Plan how short term corrective actions and trends can be developed into long term improvement actions.
*Developing a continuous Improvement culture.
To be suitable for this Quality Engineer job, you will be an experienced quality professional with experience in a Mechanical engineering domain (preferably within aerospace) and will need strong ability to lead activities and actions. You will also need to have strong in depth understanding of quality techniques and measurements, with sound knowledge of Engineering and Product lifecycles.
The client requires someone who can assist with the continued development and sustainment of a quality culture within the Engineering teams. As a result, experience in CI coaching an advantage.
