About the Job:

The client requires a Quality Manager to be responsible for ensuring that products and services meet the required standards of quality through the direction and coordination of the quality assurance programmes and quality control policies. The Quality Manager also ensures that the Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented throughout the Loudwater site. This role includes ensuring:
*Quality objectives are deployed and communicated;
*The business is supported in maintaining its QMS 3rd party approval;
*Guidance is provided to the all staff on Quality matters
*Risks associated with the implementation of the QMS are regularly assessed and reported;
*Liaison with the Engineering occurs, to ensure that all Quality requirements are met within projects and products.
*Liaison with Materials, Production and safety occurs, to ensure all products meet the design intent.
*Local processes and procedures are determined, and periodically reviewed, to ensure that they continue to meet the Quality policy.
*Appropriate reporting mechanisms are used in reporting issues to the business and customers as required.
*Quality induction training is provided to new staff;
*Cross-site QA support to other sites is provided as required
*Continuous improvement is championed throughout the business.

About You:

To be suitable for the Quality Manager job, you will need to be, educated to Degree level or equivalent in a Quality Engineering or Engineering related discipline and have an advanced understanding of ISO9001 / AS9100 requirements. An understanding of high and low volume manufacturing techniques, electronics systems design and QA would be useful, and a sound knowledge of root cause analysis techniques is also required. You will need experience of auditing and QA from a defence, aerospace, automotive, nuclear, or similar sector as well as knowledge of defence standards.
