Due to continued growth my client is looking for an experienced RF Engineer to join the team based in Staffordshire. They are a globally recognised market leader which is synonymous with the exacting high standards required to meet the demands of their Civil and Defence customers around the world.
Roles & Responsibilities
-Design, Develop and test processes and the utilisation of state-of-the-art methods, technology and tools to enhance the product.
-Establish and develop skills by working on cutting-edge RF/Microwave Radar Antenna applications.
-An active participator in the antenna design and development of a range of products and services.
-Employ advanced design and test techniques for fixed and mobile radar applications, understanding the key technologies, and developing experience in using the appropriate tools and test methods and equipment.
-Share your experience in requirements analysis and definition, design, implementation, integration, test and life cycle support.
-Make a positive contribution to the product development and designs process that seeks to continuously improve products as well as taken part in designing of new specialist antennas/sub-systems to customers own specifications.
-Carry out final acceptance testing or QA inspection procedures. Such measurements are performed at our own laboratory using a new £1.5m near-field test chamber as well as standard instrumentation including vector network analysers (VNA).
-Provide technical support to the sales team, contributing towards securing new additional business.
Skills and Qualifications
-Obtained a minimum of 2:1 in Electrical and Electronic engineering, or related discipline.
-MEng or PhD Degree in a relevant subject is also welcome.
-At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
-Evidence of specialist knowledge and interest in the areas of RF design and Microwave design.
-Experience using RF measurement equipment such as vector network analysers would be a distinct advantage as part of the role involves hands-on RF measurement work.
