Job Description

Are you an experienced Sales Administration or Sales Operations Manager ideally within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment? Are you looking for a busy and challenging position with a company that rewards it's staff with a generous benefits package?

We are looking for a Sales Administration Manager to lead and manage a team of 8 that look after the sales admin and logistics for this leading organisation. This role requires someone that can quickly pick up the technical nature of the role, getting to grips with the products and parts. You will take operational responsibility on a day to day basis for all administration functions, machine deliveries and dispatch activities.

Responsibilities include:

To establish and maintain accurate Sales Administration Department records and information.
To effectively manage a team of 8 staff to include managing work load, appraisals etc
To manage the whole machine sales process from ordering machines on factory to deliveries to Dealer network.
To manage all transport of machines in the UK and Ireland within the parameters of the transport management system.
To monitor dispatches in line with Dealer credit limits.
To ensure accurate and timely invoicing of machines to Dealers.
To manage demonstration machines
To maintain excellent working relationship with Dealers liaising with the Area Sales Managers.
To ensure that all regular reporting and forecasting is produced and accurately reported
To monitor and analyse Dealer orders and stock against manufacturing lead times.
To ensure consistent and regular placing of orders to the factory in line with MUK budget.
To continuously monitor and analyse all aspects of the Sales Administration processes to increase the overall efficiency of the department
To encourage and create a strong team spirit within the department.

Qualifications & Experience:

Excellent people management, team motivation and experience running an administration department
Ideally experience in understanding technical aspects of products so a manufacturing background would be ideal.
Ability to build relationships internally and externally within our dealer network.
Ideally experience of dealing with complicated transportation/delivery needs
Ability to prioritise work loads and organise team projects
Experience in ensuring goods are dispatched and stock is managed and turned around in a timely manor.
Experience in reporting and forecasting.
Experience of a transport system would be advantageous but not essential
