About the Job:
As a Senior Quality Assurance Manager, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for lead and manage the strategic and operational performance of the Quality department, ensuring the successful delivery of Business Strategy, Key Performance Indicators and objectives, whilst adhering to Customer and regulatory compliance and achieving commercial success. The job will involve;
*Overall responsibility for Quality activities across the Business.
*Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies and processes to aid and improve business performance using recognised process performance methodologies.
*Provide strategic and operational guidance and support to the business to ensure continued certification to AS9100 and ISO9001.
*Regularly report on Quality activities to the Senior Management Team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators.
*Develop and promote quality related training and awareness across the whole of the organisation.
*Manage audits and assessments of the supply chain.
*Ensure that corrective actions are delivered and non-compliance issues are resolved on time.
*Guide the SMT in areas of concern, process improvement and process performance.
*Promote the standardisation of processes and ensure compliance to UK legal and Customer specifications and standards.
*Provide leadership. Mentor and develop direct reports to ensure a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
*Develop and manage all aspects of Quality in the supply chain.
*Develop and manage all aspects of Software, Firmware and Hardware quality.
To be suitable for the Senior Quality Assurance Manager you will need to have proven Quality management experience within the Aerospace / Defence industry with experience and ability to present to the Senior Management Team. Extensive knowledge of compliance to the AS 9100 series of Standards and proven leadership and management skills. A relevant manufacturing / engineering degree or equivalent is preferred, along with being a Chartered Quality Professional. IPC 610 Training and Internal Auditor qualification is also preferred

This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer with some to work on a challenging role for a market leader in the provision of secure communications, information assurance and ISTAR systems to defence customers worldwide.
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level
