Job Description
We are therefore looking for RN Weapon System Engineers, or equivalent, with several years' relevant experience providing technical support and engineering management in this specialist area. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of safety management within this technical area and be familiar with the requirements of DSA02-DMR and Def-Stan 00-56.
A working knowledge of other supporting processes such as the MoD's Acquisition Guidance System and the Common Support Model would be advantageous.
You will have a smart, professional approach and will be able to fit in quickly into a small flexible team. You will need to provide clients with a high level of assurance that they are being supported by a professional, responsible, and caring consultancy.
The primary role of the successful candidate will be to assist with the development of CMS and Weapon System Safety Cases and other Safety Management tasks on behalf of MoD clients. Safety Management tasks could include (but not be limited to):
*The development and production of CMS Safety Cases.
*Hazard Identification.
*Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) and Structured What If Technique (SWIFT) analysis.
*Risk Assessment and Hazard Sentencing.
*The development and implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Safety Management Plans (SMP).
*Data input and management of hazard logs onto MoD software systems including HARMS, SMARTer, HLET and Cassandra.
*Client liaison.
*Organisation, preparation and attendance at client meetings.
*The drafting of technical reports.
*Data input into customers software systems.
*Compliance and implementation of work in accordance with the Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
