Your experience in Systems Engineering and knowledge of requirements specification, design and acceptance, as well as Testing and Verification, will play a crucial part in completing all allocated Systems Engineering activities including analysis, design, review and verification either on a small project or within a Systems Engineering team.

About the Role:

The client requires a Senior Systems Engineer to be responsible for conducting the System Engineering activities throughout the complete lifecycle of all projects. This role includes:
*Effective management and execution of project Work Packages.
*Understanding and reviewing requirements documentation
*Defining the system's sub-systems and their requirements including hardware and software
*Developing and continually refining the system acceptance strategy, and verification method for each system requirement.
*Ensuring the specification, design and acceptance are fully traceable
*Ensuring compliance of the design to the technical requirements and project constraints (e.g. cost)
*Deriving, defining and documenting:
a.System Acceptance Test Specifications,
b.System Functional Test/Factory Acceptance Test Procedures
*Assist with writing the project System Requirements Specifications
*Assist with developing and documenting the System Design through System Design Specifications and Interface Specifications
*Assisting engineers with engineering testing
*Conducting integration testing
*Conducting system testing
*Conducting formal testing in conjunction with QA team
*Supporting fault investigation
*Supporting the safety verification process as required

About You:

To be suitable for the Senior Systems Engineer role, you will need to be, educated to Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering or Engineering related discipline and have solid experience of delivering Systems Engineering activities on multiple applications/projects. You will need experience of the Systems Engineering lifecycle as well as preparing bids, studies and design review material and experience of Specification development, Verification and Validation. A background in the defence industry is preferred. The ideal candidate will have an understanding and experience of the application of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle and 'V-Model' across the full programme lifecycle, with some previous focus of Requirements Management across the full programme lifecycle using Systems Engineering tools (DOORS etc.).
