Job Description

My client is a leading global engineering, construction and project management company in the fields of Aerospace, Defence, Advanced Technology Facilities, Life Science & Chemicals, Energy & Environment Technologies, and High-Tech Infrastructure. They have operations based in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North America, and are fully engaged on the development of all aspect of engineering.

A Stress Engineer is being sought for the Bristol office on a contract basis. For this role you need experience of landing gear, including fatigue calculations and finite element analysis.

Duration is initially for 3 months, with opportunity for extension.

Key Criteria

Landing gear experience - load paths, load cases, load extraction from FE and dynamic models, LG alloys and treatments
Static calculations
Fatigue calculations (safe life)
FE modelling (2D and 3D)
