Your experience as a Surveillance Field Systems Engineer would add immediate value to my client who are world leaders in the development, manufacture and supply of maritime navigation, surveillance and security radar systems.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside leading thinkers in the industry at a company renowned for cutting edge technologies and innovative solutions.
Conduct setting to work, Commissioning, Harbour Acceptance and Sea Acceptance test.
Carry out pre-installation ship surveys and site surveys and produce detailed reports.
Participate in Trials and Testing activities to characterise and prove system capabilities.
Complete short training courses as part of a setting to work / commissioning exercise as required.
When required participate in technical meetings and provide a technical liaison with Sales team / customers.
Communicate effectively with line management any information relating to technical issues.
Familiarise and observe all Health and Safety rules and regulations during working hours.
Act in a professional manner in the presence of customers and maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive product information. Ensuring that conduct and presentation are maintained to the required standard at all times.
Completing Service reports and other documentation to the standard required by Line Management in a timely manner.
On occasions be prepared to work in excess of the normal 37 hour week or anti-social hours whilst observing contractual obligations.
Travel within the UK and overseas is required, and is considered a regular feature of this role. Requests could be made at short notice.
The job holder will be expected to comply with any reasonable operational instruction or procedures relating to Company policies, reporting and controls. In particular Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 provides a duty on every employee, while at work, to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
It also places a duty on employees to cooperate with their employer so far as is necessary to enable their duties to be complied with including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Surveillance Field Systems Engineer (Permanent)
Location - North London
Salary - Depending on experience
Experience in an Electronics servicing environment, preferably Marine orientated
Proven track record in demonstrating knowledge of electronics in a 'hands on' discipline
Excellent communication skills both technically and socially with the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation.
Sound knowledge of computers including hardware and software with the ability to use various software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Full clean driving licence
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level
