About the Job:
The client requires a System Integration & Test Engineer help with the creation of suitable tests and the execution of tests, recording any observed issues. You will assist in the resolution of issues and conduct regression testing to verify solutions. You will assist in control of the System-Under-Test configurations and the test environments and familiarise yourself and use the test tools used within the Integration laboratory. The job involves;
*Identify write and execute high quality Integration-checks, Test Methods and Scripts to de-risk EA products and to test the overall EA system.
*Execute Integration-Checks and Test Scripts, using the tools available within the department.
*Analyse test results and raise high quality, detailed observation reports as necessary (following the Business Process Library guideline) and ensure that defects assigned to you, are progressed in a timely manner.
*Ensure that the change-control techniques that are used within the department are followed, to effectively manage both the configuration and change of both products and systems (under-test).
*Familiarise yourself with the associated test tools used within the laboratory.
*Manage SI&T data artefacts within the HP Quality Centre and DOORS tools.
*Provide weekly information and metrics for any EA products you are assigned for specific testing
To be the right fit for this System Integration & Test Engineer job, you will ideally need a relevant or associated degree to the role such as Electrical or Electronic engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or appropriate work experience. You will also need a broad competence and experience in Systems Integration and Test (IT / Consumer Electronics / Communications / Messaging protocols / Defence Industry) of software, firmware and hardware, and have experience or knowledge of the following;
*Good Analytical and Problem solving skills - Ability to work in a logical, structured manner across a complex system.
*Working knowledge of HPQC and DOORS tools, as well as diagnostic tools, for problem investigation.
*Demonstrable technical understanding of IP, MilCAN, Ethernet, Serial, DDS and Power technologies.
*Willing to travel within the UK and potentially, overseas.
*Engineering experience of integration & test in a software and hardware system development environment

£375 - £390 per day
