Job Description
The successful candidate will provide systems engineering expertise to support the development of the next generation cryptographic products for the UK MOD and export markets involving leading edge hardware, firmware and software. The role includes;
*Develop technical solutions to large and complex engineering problems, following Systems Engineering processes, to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
*Develop Systems Engineering artefacts, as required, across the product development lifecycle, to result in a positive project outcome.
*Plan, co-ordinate and present at internal and external design reviews, to senior management and customers, to ensure a successful event.
*Actively contribute to and/or lead defined aspects of the project to achieve optimal balance between requirements, schedule and cost.
To be suitable for the Systems Engineer role, you will need;
*The ability to work with customers to develop great technical solutions to their complex engineering problems, following Systems Engineering processes.
*Capable of developing high quality Systems Engineering artefacts, as required, across the product development lifecycle.
*Knowledge and interest and/or experience of developing software or FPGA/ASIC-based real-time embedded processing systems.
*Willing to undergo, and are able to achieve and maintain, SC and/or DV security clearance.
It would also be useful if you had;
*Experience in working with multiple engineering disciplines including software, FPGA, electronic/mechanical hardware.
*Knowledge and interest and/or experience of IP networking and associated protocols such as ARP, DHCP, SNMP, TCP, UDP etc.
*Knowledge and interest and/or experience of cryptography, cybersecurity and information security.
*Experience of any of DOORS, UML, SEBoK, Enterprise Architect and SysML.
