Working across the complete engineering lifecycle, we are looking for Systems Engineer- Trails who are passionate, dedicated and focused on providing high-quality bespoke quality products and services in the defence environment.
Joining an established team of Systems Engineers, the Systems Engineer- Trials will be focused on the design, development, analysis, validation and support of equipment systems and products throughout their lifecycle.
The Systems Engineer- Trials responsibilities will include:
*Verification of Systems Requirements of automotive platforms through physical testing
*Responsible for trials and test activities including performance, reliability, data capture and analysis
*Management of systems project data
*Holding and documenting timely system design reviews
*Scheduling of project timescales and resources
*Ensure team members adhere to company procedures and processes
*Manage system certification and vehicle homologation, including management of Certificate of Conformance/Approval
*Liaison with all Project team members
*Ensure compliance with and the application of relevant standards and codes of practice
*Contribute to the continuous development of business processes and systems
Successful candidates will have/be:
*A minimum of HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), or ideally Degree qualified
*Proven experience of system design, evaluation and analysis including Automotive systems, Hydraulic systems and Structures.
*Verification of platform requirements, working closely with physical trials activity
*Able to produce system/product verification plans and procedures to allow detailed integration and verification testing of the developed system/product
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project
*Good communication skills
*Generally computer literate and able to adapt to different software
*Good report writing and project information recording
*Experience of MoD VVRM procedures, knowledge of drawing standards (BS8888), and ERP systems are all desirable
