About the Job:

The client requires a System Integration and Test Lead - Automation to leading the SI&T Automation Team that is executing the Automation Strategy, its implementation and governance. The role of the System Integration and Testing team is to provide a body of test evidence and support design certification to demonstrate system compliance of a new secure communication system. The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplined engineering team performing activities including;
*Integration and Test activity to support design certification, assurance and acceptance for the comms System.
*Maintain, update and execute the Automation Test strategy
*The development of Automated System Integration and Test (ASIT) Plan.
*Detailed scheduling to successfully execute Automated System Integration and Test (ASIT).
*Execute the Automated System Integration and Test Plan.
*Definition of automation test requirements, specifications, procedures and scripts.
*Manage the ASIT governance and training of the SI&T team.
*The remote execution of ASIT tests and manage test results and associated data.
*Automate the analysis and assessment of test results and provide reports
*Automated test reports and associated data - including provision of metrics data.
*Status reporting of ASIT activities.
*Build and test automation activity as well as the continuous improvement of associated integration and testing processes, procedures and tools.
*Integration and test activity within the SAFe Agile Framework program
*Customer and stakeholder engagement/management.
*Support defined ASIT integration activities, including demos.
About You:
To be the right fit for this System Integration and Test Lead - Automation job, you will ideally need a degree in a relevant Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or IT discipline (or equivalent experience), and have experience or knowledge of the following;
*Recent experience as a Technical lead or manager of a large Systems Integration and Test team on a complex C4I development programme.
*Recent experience of defining, designing, implementing and executing test automation to reduce effort, costs and time.
*Understanding and experience of implementation of Automation and supporting governance process and procedures for an SI&T project.
*Understanding of tactical network infrastructures including networks, radios, routers, switches and system management considerations
*Experience of managing the integration of changing software, hardware and firmware baselines.
*Provided High Level of technical expertise and guidance to the SI&T team, specifically messaging and routing protocols, APIs, TCP/IP, UDP, including those applicable to wireless and wired environments
*Technical awareness of electrical, mechanical and computer systems hardware including knowledge of commercial IT architecture and technologies
*Adaptation of off-the-shelf Information Technology (hardware and software) for domain-specific (military) use.
*Ability to manage a well-structured technical documents and review process to achieve release to committed deadlines.
*Ability to present formally at progress reviews and contribute productively in the team and with external UK MoD and other stakeholders. Experience gained across all phases of the system engineering lifecycle.
*Software-intensive systems design, development and testing following Agile methodologies, preferably the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
*Experienced in the use of one or more the following engineering tools or equivalents: IBM DOORS, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Team Concert, PTC Integrity Modeler (Artisan) and Microsoft Office tools
