You will be part of the UK's leading air navigation services specialist and world leader in air traffic management, as a primary supplier of equipment and services.
Below are further details about the role.
*The Technical Authority (TA) is an accountable manager with Safety responsibilities who will hold a delegated Safety Authority Letter SLA for the Technical Services and equipment.
*Assurance of New Equipment Safety cases.
*Support to the Authority led on Safety Case Reviews and if required advise for the need for additional reviews in response to significant events.
*Manage the initial safety assessment of incidents raised within the safety management system and where appropriate raise new Functional and Physical Hazards.
*Manage the review of DASORs at the design level and, where appropriate, the initiating and management of further engineering investigation, corrective and remedial action.
*Participate as required in the safety investigations managed by external agencies and OEMs with support from Supplier Management.
*Advise and assist the Head of Solutions in discharging their safety accountability.
*Equipment performance monitoring to maintain the safety thread and integrity for each Technical Service.
*Develop and manage the requirements baseline for existing, new Technical Services.
*Participate in the Acceptance and Commissioning Process of delivered assets into service from the asset delivery teams and OEMs, including as required:
*Ensure documentation is ready for service and the equipment meets the contracted Technical Service Requirements.
*Develop and publish Support Policy Statements and to allow the sustainment of the Technical Services and associated equipment.
*Verify the Asset Register has been populated with Bill of Material (BOM) for the Service Delivery Sites (SDS) and Service Enabling Sites (SES).
*Support the Engineering Validation.
*Ensure that the initial provisioning of spares and test equipment is adequate to maintain the Service in conjunction with the ILS Team.
*Ensure that Technical Services will achieve the contractual level of availability, or that appropriate measures and/ or mitigation have been put in place to address forecasted low availability for performance.
Through Life Management
*Provide support cost financial projections both for existing Service components and during business winning support.
*Develop and update equipment replacement plans and support the Asset manager as appropriate.
*Manage equipment technical obsolescence - identification to mitigation. Support the Asset Manager in the construction of the Asset Management Strategy plan.
*f. Manage on-going solutions for Human Factors issues.
*g. Participate in pre- sentencing meetings.
*h. Manage the through life provision of network communications and emitter licensing.
*Generate Engineering Submissions for Change Proposals, including formalising the change description, requirements, architectural design and engineering plans.
*Advise stakeholders on Change Requirements and provide impact assessments both commercial as well as technical.
*Support the identification of risks and suitable risk mitigation plans, participate in the Risk Management process when required.
*Generate estimated costs for proposed engineering and maintenance changes.
*Maintain strategic awareness and knowledge of emerging future engineering technology and delivery methodology, applying this to create value engineering propositions for the existing Services, maximising investment through sound application of subject matter engineering expertise.
*Provide design/engineering guidance to the company's management on assets within the Technical Service threads.
*Provide verbal and written support to operators on equipment use.
*Respond to requests for Infringement Impact statement requests from 3rd parties. Manage company's requests that impact TS performance.
*As the Authority provide guidance and management of the integration of 3rd party equipment into Technical Services.
*Support the supply chain in managing the 4th line and CLS contracts to deliver the technical equipment and Service performance.

The role will require all employees to achieve and maintain SC security clearance or above without restrictions that will inhibit the individual's ability to fulfil the requirements of the role.
