Are you an experienced Technical Publications Manager or Technical Author with team leadership experience?

This position would suit an ambitious and experienced Technical Author who wants to take the next step in their career or an experienced Technical Publications Manager.

Responsibilities include:
Leading and managing the technical publications team of authors and illustrators, Ensuring schedule adherence, prioritisation of workloads for the authoring team
Management of the Technical Publications team and suppliers to ensure coherence and consistency across the Technical Publications
Production of progress reports and metrics for the ILS manager
You will Chair the Technical Publication Working Group Meetings
Analysis of OEM Technical Publication deliverables, including DMRL and Data Modules
Delivery of the Technical Publication Programme(s) to schedule and budget

Essential requirements:

You will have considerable experience in the Technical Authoring domain with solid Team Leadership experience
A thorough knowledge of either Def Stan 00-60, ASD S1000D, PTC Arbortext Editor, Simplified Technical English (STE)
Ideally you will have an understanding of ASD S2000M (including the NATO Codification process)
A working knowledge of the Aspect.cs IP software package
An understanding of current MoD (Tri-service) maintenance strategies.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
